Yuichi Tamura is the director of PH center International University of Health and Welfare University Mita Hospital located in the dowontown of Tokyo, and the associate professor of the department of cardiology at the International University of Health and Welfare University School of Medicine, Japan.
Dr Tamura completed his medical training at Keio University, Tokyo, Japan and his residency as a fellow of pediatrics at the Mitsui Memorial Hospital, Tokyo followed with the position of assistant professor in the Advanced Pulmonary Hypertension Treatment Department at Keio University School of Medicine. Prior to his current position, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship (Marie-Curie fellowship form ERS/EU) at the University of Paris-Sud, France.
Dr Tamura is a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology as well as a member of their Pulmonary Circulation and Right Heart Function committee, and scientific assembly member of the Japanese Respiratory Society’s Pulmonary Circulation and Lung Injury committee. He also serves on the editorial board of European Respiratory Review.
