Martin Phillips

Martin Phillips is a Clinical Professor at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and a Respiratory Physician at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, WA, where he is the Director of the Lung Cancer Service and Interventional Pulmonology Service.
His research interests include asthma, COPD, Lung Cancer and Interventional Pulmonology and he is the Principal Investigator of the Clinical Trials Unit for the Institute of Lung Health. He is involved in studies on lung volume reduction techniques for emphysema, thoracoscopy techniques, cryotherapy procedures, Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscopy and EBUS. He also runs practical training courses each year on Interventional Pulmonology, including EBUS, laser therapy, stenting, rigid bronchoscopy, bronchial thermoplasty and medical thoracoscopy.
